Hi Everyone,

My professional windsurf friend Ufuk Sonmez from Turkey decided to write a book about windsurfing. After lots of effort, time and interviews with many people, he finally put it all together and published the book.

It is a book that talks and relates to any kind of windsurfers from beginner to professional windsurfing levels. Ufuk invited me to write some articles for the book like for example about jibing techniques and racing experiences. I am on the cover of the book together with the author of this book Ufuk Sonmez (left) and Cagla Kubat in the middle, who also is a professional windsurfer and a top model in Turkey.

In my eyes this is really significant success for windsurfing in Turkey and even in the world. We all know that we didn't have lot of attempts like this for windsurfing and I am glad that now I am witnessing one. Ufuk is also looking forward to translate into English and start to publish in English version.  It is going to be on book stores and shops soon. I have no doubt in my mind that this book is going to be really successful and hopefully we will see more attempts like that for windsurfing in the future that will increase the ambition for the sport.
