Introducing the brand-new ULTRA FreeWave, designed to move beyond the traditional "does it all" compromise. Unlike conventional freemove boards, which prioritize ease and then attempt to incorporate wave and freestyle features, the ULTRA FreeWave is based on a potent new school freestyle board, ensuring maximum acceleration and pop.
This shape has been fine-tuned to also function as a capable wave board, excelling in logo-high side-on waves. Its crisp and direct feel combined with the tri-fin setup make it an outstanding performer in side-on wave conditions.
Enhanced Freemove Features
The ULTRA FreeWave offers great acceleration, control, and maneuverability, but what truly sets it apart is the exciting, crisp sensation it provides. Instead of feeling dull, the ULTRA FreeWave delivers an exhilarating ride while maintaining control and wind range. This excitement is what gives the board its ULTRA suffix.
Another priority was creating the first maneuver convertible board that works equally well in both single- and tri-fin setups, dramatically changing its character:
- With the tri-fin setup, it offers 70% of the GRIP 3 wave potential (top/bottom turns).
- With the single-fin setup, it feels more exciting than its predecessor.
- When combined with a capable freestyle fin, the ULTRA FreeWave offers 70% of the hardcore freestyle potential of the SKATE.
Built with FULL CUSTOM Technology, the ULTRA FreeWave is approximately 200g lighter than previous models, but even stronger. Available in 6 sizes (74, 84, 94, 104, 112, and 119 liters), the board is available in two FULL CUSTOM constructions:
- FULL CUSTOM WOOD Technology: Offering the best price-weight-durability ratio.
- FULL CUSTOM SLS Technology: STRONG-LIGHT-SUPERIOR performance.

- We use our most high-tech raw materials (Carbon, Innegra/Kevlar), resulting in the lowest possible weights, crispest ride sensation, and maximum dent-resistance.
FULL CUSTOM SLS
(used on GRIP 4/3 SLS, ULTRA FreeWave SLS, SKATE SLS, STINGRAY SLS)
- The SLS construction uses a lower Carbon content, and the Innegra is replaced by our exclusive S_GLASS+ for a more attractive price level.
- These boards are approximately 300g heavier than the D/LAB boards.
- Due to FULL CUSTOM CONSTRUCTION, the SLS boards are stronger and lighter than comparable boards made using semi-custom construction.
FULL CUSTOM WOOD
(used on ULTRA FreeWave)
- Our most price-attractive boards made using FULL CUSTOM CONSTRUCTION. These boards feature wood reinforcements that effectively dampen peak loads.
- Compared to predecessor models in semi-custom technology, these boards are approximately 200g lighter and yet even stronger.
