Foil Masts

The foil mast is the vertical strut that connects your board to the foil assembly — mast length and material directly affect how your foil handles in every condition.

Shorter masts (60–70cm) keep you closer to the water surface and give a more direct, responsive feel — popular with wave foiling and beginners who prefer a lower risk of breaching. Longer masts (80–100cm+) provide more clearance in choppy conditions and allow for higher speeds without breach risk, favoured by race and advanced freeride riders. Carbon construction saves weight and increases stiffness compared to aluminium.
