Modern kitesurf helmets are far removed from bulky ski helmets. They sit low-profile on the head, cover the temples, and use ABS hard shells or EPS foam liners to absorb impact. Half-shell designs are popular for their light weight and ventilation, while full-wrap helmets offer more coverage for wave riding and wakestyle freestyle. Ear pads help with water drainage and provide additional side impact protection.
